Glyndebourne for the Summer!

And so the Glyndebourne Season of operatice frivolity and posh picnics has officially begun...While Carmen and Polliuto are tearing up the stage every other night, the rest of us are in production for the shows that will see out the rest of the summer. I am currently dancing about in very comfortable shoes for David McVicar's shiny new Entfuhrung and trying desperately to memorise the seemingly endless score for Saul - which will be under fellow Australian Barrie Kosky's decandent direction and leadership ( I cannot WAIT to work with him!).

Before rehearsals began, I was lucky enough to be asked by the WONDERFUL Emma Pearson ( @ellaloop ) to join her in concert at the Royal Over-Seas League for ROSL Arts. Donning "pants" for the first time (as pictured)

, I was her Octavian and Composer for one lovely evening. She's since travelled back to Australia and spoiled them with her stunning Violetta in Queensland - take note of this one folks, she's a GEM.

Looking ahead, I'm looking forward to starting covers rehearsals for Glyndebourne's revival of the Ravel double bill - I will understudy the exceptionally talented Julie Pasturaud as La bergère Louis XV and La chauve-souris (chair and bat!). I fell in love with this production the first time it hit the stage and am chomping at the bit to start what will no doubt be a fun-filled rehearsal period.

Stay tuned for more updates and photos!! xox
